Just finished a demo and talk for the Clay grads here. I statrted with Chun Yuan interpreting but soon it bercame all hands gestures and mime. It was fun..i enjoyed it although I'm not sure how much was understood. Its been three weeks of working each day on making pots,sculptures and looking at this new culture and its history. The trip to Taipei museums ,most significantly the ceramics museum at Yingge was one of the best expereiences of the trip. truly a thourough review of international ceramics the Taipei biennial was continually amazing from gallery to gallery. i hope to be able to share it with you all . i think you would find it impressive. Hey friends, I'm heading off to Taiwan to work as a visiting artist for the month vof sept. it's Tainan,National university of the Arts and I've asked Sam Davis a second year grad to join in . we'll both be working as much as possible to get work done and take it all in.
