About Me:

COMPOSITIONAL CONVERSATION: Stage Four - Shelley Brenner Baird

This morning I posted the fourth article for a project entitled COMPOSITIONAL CONVERSATION. This project involves the development of a textile work that is started by one artist and passed from person to person until everyone has had an opportunity to contribute.

This week's artist, Shelley Brenner Baird, has given us an excellent description of her work process with the piece and notes on why she made the decisions that she made. There is also a mini artist profile of Shelley and examples of h… Continue

Stage Three: Compositional Conversation

I just posted the third installment of my online project: Compositional Conversation. The new version of the group project was revised by Beth Carney, an artist from The Big Apple.

The best part of her contribution is that she had not seen pictures of the project before she received the package and she placed the work on her design wall upside down. She did not know her "mistake" until after she had completed her work so now the piece has taken a 180 degree turn. This proves that good design is… Continue

Stage Two: Compositional Conversation and Mini Artists Profile on Rebecca Howdeshell

I have just posted a new entry on my blog: http://studio24-7.blogspot.com/

This article relates to the experience of Rebecca Howdeshell working on a piece of art which I initiated and will be worked on by 11 other artists. Her description of working on this is very articulate and I feel she has set a high standard for the artists who will follow her.

I began the project: Compositional Conversation, as a way to connect with some of the artists I have met online as well as interact with some tha… Continue

Hi Terry. Unfortunately you will ahve to delete each message. Go to your inbox and place a check in the box by each message then use the "Actions" pull down menu to delete them all with one click. The smamer joined about 30 times using slightly different email addresses. This tricks the sight software by making the messages appear to be coming from "different" users. Sorry I don't have a better answer. See pict below

Hi Terry,
I am one of Dave Detrich's sculpture students. I am trying to figure out which material would be best for one of my sculptures for my final show in May and he gave me your name.
