I like the sculptural quality if the plate, but you are right, I get a lot of ink catching surface there! Thanks for sharing.

Steve, I don't have any images ready to upload right now, but I'll send you some soon and hope it helps. From the looks of your plate and the prints you've got a good handle on what it's about in general. I'd say you can be a bit more subtle with yo…

Great! The both of you make collagraphs. Could you post some images? I just posted two prints and the plate. Not a large image. For now I am getting into the bath slow so to speak. Lets get a body of work together and explore having an exhibit.

Steven, I too have been making collagraphs for quite some time. They can be wonderfully atmospheric or obsessively detailed. Let me know what you're looking for and we can go from there.

Thanks for the compliment. I am teaching adjunct here in Kingsport and in Johnson City. As for the gallery scene in Kingsport there really isn't a strong one. I have some works in a gallery here downtown but the sales are oh so slow. You can look at our campus gallery on the ETSU website for submission proposals there, just look for Slocumb Galleries. I have a few ideas for portfolio exchanges brewing so I will keep you in mind when they come full circle.

Recently I learned that I had one of my entries in the Southern Graphics Council's Traveling Exhibit accepted. The works were juried by Warrington Colescott. For me, this is mighty pleasing. I am happy to get my work seen outside of this area.
