I like the sculptural quality if the plate, but you are right, I get a lot of ink catching surface there!
Thanks for sharing.

Steve, I don't have any images ready to upload right now, but I'll send you some soon and hope it helps. From the looks of your plate and the prints you've got a good handle on what it's about in general. I'd say you can be a bit more subtle with your materials. The slightest level change on a piece of paper or tape or cut in the matt board can make a big difference.

Great! The both of you make collagraphs. Could you post some images?
I just posted two prints and the plate. Not a large image. For now I am getting into the bath slow so to speak. Lets get a body of work together and explore having an exhibit.

Steven, I too have been making collagraphs for quite some time. They can be wonderfully atmospheric or obsessively detailed. Let me know what you're looking for and we can go from there.

I have made some collagraphs in the past and I would be glad to help if possible. I use several techniques when making these images so just let me know what you are after and I will pass along what I have

Is there any one making collagraph prints? I did many years ago as a student at App. State. I have been playing a little with the process recently and wondered if there were others doing the same? May be we could collaorate on some methods?

Steven, I notice we are both in the Clemson National. Directly across the page from each other in the catalogue. I think I've met you with Glenn Miller and that gang around Pendleton in the west end. I'm the tall female who moved to g'ville a couple years ago from boston. Now getting mfa at clemson... so, yes, sharing info. re: printmaking etc. is great and a local exhibit great as well. all the best. marty

I would like to meet other printmakers to discuss techniques and methods of printing, to share ideas and organize a local exhibition.
